Khan Academy

Khan Academy With over 3,200 videos on everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, and history and hundreds of skills to practice, Khan Academy is on a mission to help you learn what you want, when you want, at your own pace. Khan Academy is a great free tool to accompany a class and build a strong foundation in many subjects. As a staff member mentioned, "It's like having your own portable professor to help with questions in a variety of subjects." Khan Academy can make it much easier for parents to help their children with homework.

Khan Academy is free! Access it at khanacademy.org.

Upcoming Events

The signs at the entrance to Weiser read, "We Love Our Kids." You will see that in action every day in our schools.

Welcome to the Weiser School District website. Weiser schools are a great place for children to live, to learn, and to grow. Join us as we work to accomplish our vision of being the Highest Achieving Rural School District in Idaho.

Every staff member in the Weiser schools has resolved to work toward High Achievement and Responsible Citizenship for all students. Regardless of a child's circumstances, our school district is committed to bringing children from where they enter our schools to their greatest potential.

Our staff and programs are making a difference everyday. The elementary school's Success for All reading program and Saxon Math curriculum are having a wonderful effect on student achievement. Our youngest students are receiving a strong basis upon which they will build a lifetime of learning.

In Weiser Middle School and Weiser High School, courses are designed to challenge students to improve their skills, to explore their talents, and to become productive members of our community, country, and world. Our high school and middle school both have the advantage of being the perfect size: large enough to offer a full and challenging array of curricular and co-curricular offerings, yet small enough that every student has an opportunity to interact and to be a part. Whether it is music, drama, journalism, science, technology, agriculture, mathematics, or athletics, there is a special place for your son or daughter in the Weiser School District.

Our students' success is evidenced in their continued growth and improvement on State assessments. Our teachers are doing an incredible job preparing learning activities that strengthen skills, challenge thinking, and present practical, relevant experiences. We are proud of the fact that our graduates successfully attend some of the nation's best colleges, complete licensing curriculum, and seek further education to improve vocational skills.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. If you are interested in Weiser or in Weiser schools, do not hesitate to call or to email the Weiser School District office and to arrange a visit. Your family will be able to visit classrooms; to meet teachers, administrators, and students; and to learn firsthand why Weiser schools are a great place to begin your future.

Sincerely,

James A. Reed
