0712 AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY I (0201) year course
TEXT: Motor Automotive Technology, 3rd edition, Anthony Schwaller Automotive Technology I is a one year elective course for grades 9-12, designed to teach the basics of automotive and general mechanics. Instruction is conducted with a combination of textbook, lecture, and shop activities. Students will learn and demonstrate workplace behaviors and procedures required for a career in automotive technology.

TEXT: Motor Automotive Technology, 3rd edition, Anthony Schwaller Automotive Technology II is a one year elective course that is a continuation of Automotive Technology I for grades 10-12. Instruction is conducted with a combination of textbook, lecture, and shop activities. Students will demonstrate workplace behaviors and procedures required for a career in automotive technology.
Prerequisite: C average for semesters 1 & 2 of Auto Tech I and instructor's permission. Course Outline Automotive Electrical Systems; Suspension & Alignment; Fuel & Ignition Systems. 0714 AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY III (0203) year course
TEXT: Motor Automotive Technology, 3rd edition, Anthony Schwaller Automotive Technology III is a one year elective course that is a continuation of Automotive Technology II for grades 11-12. Instruction is conducted with a combination of textbook, lecture, and shop activities. The course will focus on automotive specific tasks. Students will demonstrate cummulative course knowledge by completing a senior automotive project approved by instructor. Students will demonstrate appropriate workplace behaviors and procedures required for a career in automotive technology.

0715 AUTO TECHNOLOGY CO-OP 2 semester course
This is the out-of-school work experience related to automotive technology. Students enrolled in this program are employed in a local business related to automotive industry. The purpose of this program is to apply what has been learned and practiced in automotive technology to a real work environment. Credit is determined by completing 250 hours of employment. Credit is not given if the student fails his/her related automotive course. A student and employer agreement must be completed along with weekly work reports.
