Mission Statement:
Professional-Technical Education (PTE) wants to provide Idaho's youth and adults with the technical skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for successful performance in a globally competitive workplace.

Weiser High School's Professional-Technical teaching staff loves to accommodate traditional and non-traditional students in their program. With the worlds' changing environments, more opportunities are available to all students in the workplace, and Weiser High wants to assist those students to fulfill their dreams and potential.

Co-op/Work-Based Learning Opportunities
Juniors and/or seniors who have been enrolled in one of our professional-technical education programs for two or more years are eligible to participate in our professional-technical co-op/Work-Based Learning program. This is a program, which has been set up to enable seniors to continue in the professional-technical education program of their choice, while having the opportunity to experience a work-study program outside the classroom setting, before entering their further educational field or worksite.

Tech-Prep/Dual College Credit Available
Weiser School District, in conjunction with a variety of college/professional-technical schools, is offering the opportunity for a few of its professional-technical high school class offerings to coincide with advanced education offerings (Tech Prep). For a low fee, students who complete the class requirements will be able to obtain not only high school credit, but also college credit. Please discuss this opportunity with your professional-technical instructor.

Professional-Technical Training beyond Weiser School District
Students interested in programs not offered at Weiser High are encouraged to contact their instructor and/or counselor to determine if an off-campus program may be available to assist them in their training goals. For example - Advanced Computer classes at TVCC or BSU Nampa Campus.

Disclaimer: Weiser School District cannot make any guarantees on the following classes which my be subject to changes in curriculum offerings, pre-requisites, fees and availability. Last updated February 2008
