Thank you for notifying the school on days when your child is absent. Please call before 9:00, otherwise we will be trying to contact you. If we have not spoken to a parent about a student's absence, the student will be marked as truant for the day. Also, if you have a note from the doctor excusing your child's absence for medical reasons, please make sure your child brings it to the office upon their return. We appreciate your cooperation.

IMPORTANT REQUEST: Our core subjects, including math and reading, are very important at Park School and we dedicate time to lessons and practice each day. If you need to make a dental or medical appointment for your child, we ask that you do your very best to schedule it outside of our math and reading times. When students miss the actual lessons, it is often difficult for them to do the work on their own. Below you will find the daily schedules for each grade. They reflect instructional times, as well as lunch and recesses. Thank you very much for your support of our educational programs. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's teacher for an appointment.

Safety warning:
Please remember that the student drop-off and pick-up area is at the bottom of the hill. Our driveway is off-limits between 7:45 and 8:30 AM, and also between 3:15 and 4:00 PM. This rule is especially important during the winter months when snow and ice accumulates. We have had many close calls over the years, as well as stuck cars or vehicles sliding backward down the hill. For the safety of parents, students, and staff, we ask that you adhere to the policy for drop-off and pick-up of students. During the day, when school is in session, please feel free to drive up and park to conduct any school business you may have. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact Mrs. Halvorson.
