Elections for the Weiser School District Board of Trustees are held during the November election cycle. Trustees play a crucial role in shaping the future of our schools, and we encourage community members to actively engage in the election process.

Eligibility to be a Board Candidate:

1.  Be a citizen of the United States
2.  Be at least 18 years old
3.  Be a resident of the trustee zone from which they were nominated or appointed
4.  Be a resident in Idaho and the county for at least 30 days prior to where you are registered to vote.

School Board Members serve for terms of 4 years beginning at noon on January 1 following their election. 

Filing Requirements:

1. File a Declaration of Candidacy
2. Petition of Candidacy- Must include at least five (5) verified signatures of qualified electors who reside in the same trustee zone as the candidate. 
3.  File declaration and petition with the school district clerk.
