Longtime Weiser Educator Terry Mooney is inducted into the IHSAA Hall of Fame
Weiser High School graduate (1965) Terry Mooney came back to Weiser and spent his entire career as a teacher, coach, and athletic director for the Weiser School District. Terry was inducted into the Idaho High School Activities Association Hall of Fame at a banquet held August 1, 2018 at the Boise Center on the Grove. There were lots of friends, family, and people there who had worked with Terry the occasion with him and his wife Lori. Terry was a well known and respected educator who was recognized for his exceptional coaching skills and lifelong dedication to the student-athletes in Weiser. He was named District Baseball Coach of the Year five times, and in 1998 received the Idaho Coaches Association Distinguished Baseball Coach of the Year award. Terry was also recognized for his work as an athletic director, receiving the District Athletic Director of the Year twice and the Idaho Athletic Administrators Association 3A Athletic Director of the Year in 2009. Terry received the Charles Alvaro Award in 2006 and the District III Distinguished Service Award in 2010. Congratulations Terry on a well deserved award for the many years of service to the students, staff, and community of Weiser!
